Firecracker is a ship between David from camp camp and Shep/Wess's oc, who was 15 but Shep aged them up to 18 which isn't much better. We also think Scarlett is an insert for Shep's victims.

What he wrote in his rps with Scarlett lined up way too well with what happened to Maureen. Here's more proof of that

Also one thing I wanted to point out is Wes keeps comparing Firecracker to Lolita. But in Lolita the actions Humbert Humbert were portrayed as bad! Humbert Humbert is an unreliable narrator. One of the lines in the book is literally “He broke my heart. You merely broke my life.”

However in firecracker nothing David does is portrayed as bad. In fact it's rewarded and celebrated! The character who said “teenage pregnancy is bad!” and has the most common sense out of anyone in that fanfic, is the main antagonist and an insert for people who criticize Wes!
